Heart disease is one of the biggest causes of untimely death in the UK. If a casualty has gone into Cardiac Arrest, their chances of survival decrease by 10% for every minute in which nothing is done. Defibrillation (a controlled electric shock to the heart) could save a life and the quicker this is applied the more chances of survival. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are becoming more widely available particularly in public areas. This course is designed for candidates who don’t have a First Aid certificate. It covers Basic Life Support and will teach you to recognise a Cardiac Arrest and treat it using effective CPR and an AED.
We also offer shorter training for those with First Aid qualifications – please contact us for more information.
